This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Can anyone help,i am using a Portege 344oct,and seem to be having trouble trying to connect a external CD drive to it.
    Everytime i plug it in the usb hub,i lose the mouse,and can't get the system to reconise it.
    Has anyone else encountered this problem,or am i missing something really basic?,appreciate any help.
