    Hi there

Does anyone know if the Toshiba Sat Pro A200GE-26Q has whatever thingy it needs in the Bios to allow an external HDD to be used?

Sorry about the non-technical terminology

If you have an external HDD, you just plug it usually via USB, and it plug and play(in the OS) so you can start putting your music, movies or whatever on it.

Windows will automatically see your hard drive when you plug it in. The "thingy" in the BIOS is only needed if you are booting an operating system installed on that HDD (basically similar to when you pop the Windows CD in the CD drive and set the BIOS to "Boot from CD" before the hard drive, so that the disc loads and not the hard drive)

That was my question - I want to boot from the external HDD. So how do I find out if the Bios supports that? Do I go into the Bios, and then what do I look for?
