Did anyone succeed in backing up HD on your A105's by using Ghost? I have a A105-s101 (celeron m 380) Toshiba and ghost 2003. Everytime, it stopped in the Ghost-loading process after rebooting. I used Acronis 8 to backup, but it freezed also.

i guess that the problem relate to the HD or memory. Make sure no any bad sector in the HD and no error in your memory.

Thank you for your input. I have a question. How do I know that?

You could try running a full on disk check to see if that'll do anything.

I too had Ghost 2003 freeze up on me on trying to run it from within DOS on this computer. I sincerely doubt there's anything wrong with the hard drive -- it's brand new and runs well otherwise. I did notice that the hard drive doesn't have the standard connectors that all other notebook hard drives in the last 10 years have -- the multiple pins running at the front of the hard drive. I wonder if there's a different setting to these new hard drives or whether the system itself has a flag of sorts to not allow hard disk writing when not in Windows. Alternately, if there might be a virus protection setting in the BIOS that prevents hard drive access? Any suggestions? I've been using Ghost 2003 for years and never ever encountered this issue of freezing when run in DOS. I updated to the latest version of Ghost 2003 via Live Update (you have to update a couple of times for it to get the latest version) and still no luck. Anyone?
