As I'm going to get a P105 laptop, I'd like to reformat and put my favourite software and settting in there.

The only thing I concern about is the Hotkey Fn + F button. Such as Increase screen brightness, Volume, VGA out....
Does these hot key needs any special drivers or the laptop will recorgnize it through XP?

I have a Dell so these button doesn't need any special software.

SOny is the exceptional one. After reinstall , these buttons is dead.

About the screen quality of Toshiba, Do you happy with it? I'm afraid to get a bad screen like what they did in some Dell inspiron and some HP. Especially those made by Samsung and Sharp ones.

I don't think they require any drivers. I have formatted and installed Windows on my notebook a few times, and I have not incurred any problem wih them. I think in most notebooks, the key functions are embedded in the motherboard, and it knows when it recieves a function like Fn + F3, for example.
