Download the network drivers atleast, I put everything I wanted to save on the second hard drive, then did the reformat and clean install, and then just set it up as you want with the latest drivers.... should be good to go! There are also some good Vista tweaks in the guides on here, so may want to do some of those after you get it installed, but a clean install will do wonders! Enjoy the machine!

The game is probably not Sli enabled, so disable Sli or create a custom gaming profile in the Nivida control panel.

    :)

Thx for the help jesse, however the choppy frams remains :( ... The biggest improvement gain was when i turned sli off like snowsurfer said, but was still laggy... So, what else could be?? :confused2: ... BTW i was able to install just 2 hotfixes, the 938's keep telling that they are not appicable to my system, why's that?.. So i just installed the 940xxx and the 936xxx... Oh, and btw, is there a way to increase speakers volume?? Because, even when the sound is quite good, i find it kinda low...

It says they are not applicable because the updates are already installed on your system so you do not need them. Not really sure why it's choppy since mine has been working great since I got it.

And what graphic confg you're using in game? Res, all high, medium? It's really sad that i cannot run this game at acceptable framerates... You run it with your gpus overclocked? I overclocked mines to 600/850...

i have been having no issues with smooth gameplay and no overclock.

i think that you mis-tweaked a setting somewhere.

I'd go back to the default GPU settings and see if it helps, thats probably your problem, unstable overclock. Then if that works start your overclock in very small increments to find a stable setting.

I agree with Snowsurfer put the gpu's back to stock speeds and test it. I have not overclocked mine at all since I don't see the need to all my games run fine at the default gpu clocks.

Maybe im just asking too much from the laptop... What are your fps while playing? With sli disabled, no AA, some things medium, low and even off (like shadows and smoke) in the first track i got 18~24, but actually was kinda smooth, some parts of the track reaching 30 fps... But then when i go to next track it was reeeaaaally laggy (7~9 fps)

Jose, When I test with FEAR with all settings on max and shadows and soft shadows disabled and with si disabed I average around 70fps and if I enable sli the I average around 133fps. This is with the gpu's at stock speed.

Thx all for the help... I solve it... I reinstalled the drivers and BUM 40 fps with all maxed and 2x AA... Now i am REALLY happy with the laptop :D :D... I guess that a friend (who helped me with the first confg) moved a wrong parameter in the nvidia monitor... Well thx all... gonna try other games...

Sad but True, i'm still having problems... I think it's driver related... What happends is that after i reinstalled the drivers everything worked perfect, but suddendly (after 1 day) started to lag again... I notice that is not ProStreet only, but all games that get a lower performance (COD4 playable but not even close to what i got when it was OK, like 30~40 less fps)... I solved the problem reinstalled the drivers again, but now i got the problem again and no solution, even reinstalling drivers, it's like suddendly i had no SLI... I wonder, is there any better driver than 169.09 for sli users?

I'd try out the newer 169.25, maybe that might help.... Not sure what the problem is, I haven't run into that problem yet... curious, you are set to high performance under the power profile right? Not sure what would be causing performance to drop after a day.

Well i guess i'm unlucky... Tried alot of things... Reinstall drivers, reinstall vista, and did not work.. Tried to install XP but had too many problems.. I'm using the recovery disk now to see what happends... I'll post my results... And well, i'm outside US so using toshiba support (returning) isn't really the best option...
