Hi I've been looking all morning for the correct package to d/l and install to get the Fn-F_Keys to work on this ancient M15. The software media is long gone (if it every existed at all in the first place).

On the Support Site, I've searched for "flash cards", "common modules", and "function keys" and basically browsed through all 57 offers in the D/L section. Plenty of info on how to work with them - nothing at all about how to install/reinstall them. Right now they're dead as far as the Fn-F_Key combination is concerned. The 3 "quick shortcut keys" (top right of the keyboard platform) also are disabled. The F_Keys by themselves are functioning properly.

I know there's some keyboard mapping/overlay file or utility I'm missing. Can someone help me locate the utility package?

Is the software made available to the user in a hidden partition somewhere???

    Tnx

Hey there! Here's some feedback you and anyone else facing this.

I already had that utility loaded and installed. That utility (Fn-eese) actually controls and supports the extended use of the FnKey in combination with the keyboard numerals/alphabetics to for instance, launch a macro, load an app, some user definaed process. It's not specifically targetting the root FnKey-FunctionKey (F1-F12) that I was looking for ----

    BUT...... Read on!

In my searching about , I had previously downloaded and tried to install a Toshiba package for the Sat Pro called Common Modules. I was fairly sure that the extended Function Key mappings were most likely contained therein. However the Common Modules install balked with an error: Unable to continue install on this platform (or words to that effect). So that lead me to then believe I was wrong.

Now, I took your new Fn-eese and installed on top of the old thinking that it might re-map but it did not. The new version was in fact the exact same that I had already on the system.

And here comes the good part...

I then relaunched the install of the failed Common Module package. And, by gum - IT WENT THROUGH! And, now we have full functionality with Fn-FunctionKey on the keyboard! Side benefit unexpected: The Toshiba Mobile Extension modules (TMEEMJ) was hanging up on Windows shutdown. I was leaving this to resolve until later. However, TMEEJM.exe now exits gracefully on shutdown.

My thanks to you and this forum for supplying answers not found elsewhere!
