Does anyone have GeForce Go 6600 Driver?
My laptop is Toshiba M40.
-
Can you not download from Toshiba or nVidia or get it off your disks?
-
Are you getting that 'no drivers found for your hardware' message when you try and install the drivers from Nivdia?
-
yup i'm getting that message when i try and install the latest 78.01 drivers...y is that?? and how do i get the latest drivers then...just got my m40 today
-
Roll back the driver for the video card. You should be fine after that. -
lol...just wanted the latest drivers for the games...but any clue why that problems occurs?? didnt have this prob on my pc
-
heyy. i have an m40 too. it seems like nvidia doesnt have official drivers for their mobile solutions. u must get them from ur notebook brand/manufactorer. u can get it at toshiba. BUT. unfortunately toshiba hasnt realli released any updates to the drivers. so 71.70 is stil the latest official drivers for the m40. go check out laptopvideo2go though. they may work. and if you download from laptopvideo2go you have to download both the exe and the inf files. to apply/install the drivers you have to go to display properties>settings>advanced>adapter>properties>driver>updatedriver . and select install from a specific location. but these laptopvideo2go drivers may be digitally unsigned. rmb to set a restore point first just in case. =P. :centrino:

I was the same as u..... but just so you know, mobile cards (video cards made for laptops) are NOT the same as desktop cards, they are much more pickier and IMO less configurable. The newer drivers are usually released by other people and are untested. I ran into much more problems than anticipated so i reinstalled everything from the Toshiba factory CD and all is fine.
If you really want the top performance, get a notebook cooler or put your laptop in a cool room with air conditioning, and download NVTweak which enables the nVidia power settings and you can overclock your card for extra FPS. I cranked mine to something like 650/350 and pwned the Radeon X700, bwahahaha. -
hey guys!
i have the same problem as you...

If your DVD-drive is set in the wrong region, you may also have to reset it to Region 1 (for the US) to play DVDs sold in the US.
