Which one should i get, i herd that m45 is for the US and for M40 is for Canada. Is it true that M45 doesnt give you nvidia 6600, instead they give u this intel graphic watever thingy? What are the advantage/ disadvantage of both notebooks? i'm leaning more towards gaming/ work rather than full work.

There are currently only 2 Toshiba M40 models in Canada

    M40: 1.6GHz/60GB PSM40C-JM300E
    M40: 1.86GHz/80GB PSM40C-YP300E

Both models don't have 1GB of memory, comes standard with only 512MB. Mikhael, if your parents are going to be in Canada for 2 weeks, they can just buy it in the store. You can't order "custom configured" notebooks in Canada, they're only available in the US. These 2 notebooks should be available in the electronic Superstores in Canada. Futureshop has these notebooks available online and should therefore be available in store (check for stock). The cost of the JM3 model is $1899.99CDN (before taxes, which is 15% in Ontario) & the YP3 is $2299.99CDN (before taxes). You can do the conversion.

Notebook manufacturers don't seem to offer the "custom config" notebook option in Canada. You can buy custom Dell's in Canada, but it gets configured and shipped from the US. But then again, who wants a Dell [ ;)].

Here's the website that will allow you to convert from CDN to US. It'll give you the latest exchange rate when you do the conversion.
