I have just ordered the following system:

    --Toshiba Satellite A130--

    CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 (2.00GHz, 4MB L2 cache, 667MHz FSB)
    OS: Windows Vista Premium 32-Bit
    Memory: 2048MB PC5300 DDR2 667MHz SDRAM (1024MBx2)
LCD: 15.4" Widescreen XGA TruBrite (1280x800)
Graphics Card: nVIDIA GeForce Go 7600, 256MB dedicated graphics memory
    HDD: 80GB HDD (5400rpm, Serial-ATA)
Optical Media: DVD SuperMulti (+/-R double layer) drive

    Price Tag: $1,400.00

I have heard horror stories about Toshiba shipping out laptops with cheap geforce 7600 go's that only have 64bit memory bus width instead of the 128bit.

Has anyone ordered a Toshiba with a geforce 7600go 256MB that only had 64bit memory bus width?

In general has anyone heard of the geforce 7600go 256MB card with the 64bit instead of the 128 bit card being put in laptops by toshiba?

    Thanks

So your saying the GPU was good quality.

Did it have a 128 bus width?

You worry too much. I'm sure Toshiba won't try to trick you. Besides, it's in their best interest to satisfy the customer. Toshiba or any other notebook manufacturer might try to cut corners, but it won't be with the GPU. I wish the 7600 Go was available in a 15.4" when I bought my P100 last summer, but I can't really complain. My P100 has been nothing but reliable so far. Do us all a favor and consider writing a review of your laptop when you get it. :)

I just bought that laptop, well, I got a 1.66 C2D, and 1GB ram, as I will be able to upgrade both later.

Very nice laptop. I played Battlefield 2142 the other night, medium settings and didn't have any problems. I don't really care about a bunch of tests, or benchmarks, but I know it will handle a recent FPS very well.

The only comment I have about the laptop is you will need to spend some time uninstalling programs, and removing stuff from startup in MSCONFIG. After I did that the machine runs very well.
