everyone says its impossible to put a graphics card on a laptop...
i have a TOSHIBA U205-S5034...
I checked the intel website and it says that there is a 16 X PCI slot for my board and that it has onboard graphics 128 Mb...
what is the PCI slot for...cant i directly put another graphics card in that slot...thanks...

Sure you can...if you find one that fits the notebook form factor, adheres to your particular notebook's power requirements, and is supported in your notebook's BIOS.
That probably narrows your options down to.......Mobile Intel 945GM Express -

@Johnny_T: A PCI x16 slot? Normally they just put in a mini PCI-e x1 slot for the wireless.

The PCI slots are routed internally for the GMA. It has been documented many times over...you cannot upgrade this card.
