With HD-DVD all but dead and dying, kicking and screaming on it's way out.. I wish Toshiba would change course and at least offer Blu-Ray as a purchase item for my X205-SLi1. All my movies are Blue-Ray, my PS3 is blueray, all my friends own PS3s and have blue ray movies.. Dell sells a blueray drive (slim internal) for it's inspiron notebooks..
Now if somehow Microsoft can jump ship and go blue-ray, that would force toshiba to re-think it's strategy, and adopt blue-ray (me thinks)
Heck.. almost all of the movie studios are Blueray, Blockbuster online is Blueray, pS3 is blueray..

Never going to happen until and/or unless HD DVD dies out of the market completely. HD DVD is owned by Toshiba, they wouldn't drop it for a competitor technology unless their format is D-E-A-D.

I'm personally hoping that all things HD-DVD go on clearance! I'll stock up on movies and when a dual format player becomes cheaper I'll get one of those.

Dying? You are 1 of 6.5 billion people .0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% of the world
Microsoft is using Hd in there xbox which are better than the ps3 because of game choice your theory is quiet flawed, i dont know if your dvd play is slot loaded or eject tray but I think you can buy the dvd player seperate?
HD-DVD dead, I want BLURAY on my x205-sli1
