Does anyone know how to adjust the brightness & contrast on toshiba's HD-DVD player. I have tried going under the NVIDIA control panel and have tried every posiable option (desktop color/video color ect..) with no luck. If I have windows media playing a video and the HD-DVD player playing I can adjust the video britness and it will change on the wm player but not the hd player. I have opened up wm player to see if I could use it to play hd-dvds but the "play dvd" option was greyed out. I do not want to change the setting on my tv because im having to share my hdmi connection with my sat. receiver and i have it callibrated for the sat receiver. I have even looked under the hd-dvd players setting to see if it had its on adjustments but it does not. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

    Thanks,

Just to clarify, you are referring to the HD-DVD drive in your Win MC machine, not a stand alone Toshiba HD-DVD player?

    Omega,
I haven't found a fix for this either yet... It's dark on my lcd tv and my laptop display also.
    Others,
The only help we can get is from another Toshiba X205(or other Toshiba model) owner with the built-in hd-dvd rom drive, who might have come up with a work-around for this.
We have tried all settings, but none seem to affect the hd-dvd playback.

Yes, I am using my HD-DVD player in my X205-S9359. If anyone has the Power DVD player, does it have video settings that you can adjust?
