I'm freaking out!!!

I took apart my portege 3500 following the tutorial step by step using the irisvista site ( http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/Toshiba_Portege_3500/replace_soundboard_1.htm )... and I put it back together in the same (reverse) order. I just wanted to find out how to take it apart for the future.

Of course I practiced good techie precauctions (touch metal before you start, ground yourself, don't be standing on carpet, etc) but when I tried to boot up my lappy, I could see the laptop turn on (via the LEDs) but the screen isn't working!!!

I took it apart (same tut) again, and put it back together (again).. and it still won't work!!! What's going on?!?!?

    HELP!!!!!   :(

    edit:
Okay. After taking it apart and putting it back together for the THIRD time, I've determined that the laptop itself is working okay. The pins that connect to the screen connector cable aren't bent.

The lappy was working literally right before I took it apart the first time. I've connected everything back up to their respective places... I've also been very careful to not pull on anything that shouldn't be pulled. And still, the screen suddenly stopped working. Seriously now... wth is wrong with my lappy?!

    edit2:
Okay. Now I'm not 100% sure the laptop works. I can feel the underside get warmer and warmer on my lap, the LED status indicators are on and constant green (for power and battery)... but I don't hear anything... or feel any vibration from it (but then again, I couldn't before really). It just turns on and reads the HD... but nothing beyond that. Anyone have any ideas?

You fixed your own problem in less than a couple hours. That's pretty good considering there are a lot of people who won't even try and troubleshoot their own problems first, then blame people on the forums for not helping.
