It must be the A300D-15B which is shown for the same price on Toshiba's site. It looks a really nice laptop, basically the updated version of my A210-11P which was introduced at £700 as well. The Intel graphics must be a typo, and it isn't the only one (HD 3600 and Athlon X2 logo next to picture).

Edit: actually, it says the model is the A300-15B below the text, so I wouldn't worry.

Think the spec is correct - I think what you highlighted is the chipset though it might be a mistake as this has an AMD CPU. You could cancel and order from Laskys as it is £70 cheaper. I was thinking of ordering the same laptop btw! If you do get it please post your thoughts on how good it is or isn't as it's hard to find any reviews on this model which makes me think that it's not too popular for some reason.

Graphics are ATI 3650 with 512RAM but I'm not too sure about chipset though that doesn't matter so much I imagine.

I have had a couple of Acers and i dont like the built quality, plus i an not intertested in blueray at the moment.

It strange that laskys link dose not show the graphics card?

Sorry for delay, been having dinner.

I never really noticed that LAskys haven't specified the graphics but I' m pretty sure there is only one spec level for the A300D-15B.
Interesting link about the A300-15B as I was not aware such a model existed but it seems that Littlewoods have made an error as they specify the AMD ZM80. The T8300 is a lot better processor though the resolution is 1280x800 rather then 1440x900 for the A300D-15B but I'm not sure if this is important to you. I've also been considering the A300-1BZ with the T8100 cpu, crap graphics(ATI 3470/128RAM) no HDMI or Bluetooth but £150 cheaper @ £481 roughly. I also don't really need bluray but there is no doubt that the sound system of the acer is slightly better than the Tosh which in turn is better then most all other laptops. I still can't decide what to go for...I also considered the Acer 5930G only available at John Lewis's website for £599 with the best cpu/gpu combination at that price(P7350 + 9600M GT) which really is quite impressive. I have no experience of Acer laptops though so interested to hear your reservations about them.

I still haven't made up my mind what to get yet and I've been considering the options for a few weeks! Is it worth spending an extra £150 for stuff I probably won't need or should I just go for the cheaper option??

I think that A300-15B model is only available in Romania so no chance of getting one here. no HDMI output which is a little surprising.

I have an account with Littlewoods, so i am stuck with them!

I would get hands on experience with an Acer before you buy one, as they seem plasticy

have you compared the specs of the A300 and A300D

    The A300 has a INTEL 2.4 35W instead of the AMD 2.1 32W

But the AMD has memory runs at 800mhz bus opposed to the INTEL 677.

Also the AMD has a 1400x900 screen when the INTEL only has an 1280x800.

Also the AMD can take 8GB of memory to the INTEL`S 4GB MAX

Would you go for the INTEL or the AMD ?

    EDIT :
I am very happy it`s going to be an bouncing baby A300 D :D :D

yeah, it does make it pretty confusing when websites get their specs all messed up! How come you're stuck with Littlewoods just coz you have an account there? Surely you can order from anywhere else...another thing I was worried about was that 1440x900 might be too small to read on a 15" screen as 1280x1024 on my desktop 19" isn't always as readable as I'd like depending on the website. 15" notebooks are best with 1280x800 in my opinion. When is your bouncing laptop arriving? :)

    Hi.

my laptop arrived it was an INTEL A300-15B , it was written on the outside on the box, so i refused the delivery, and will be getting a refund.

Better luck next-time, I am still a member of the Toshiba Club with my old P30.

woah! that's a bit of a surprise, you should have at least check it out and then sent it back if you weren't happy, I can't remember the exact spec at the moment but I wonder if the Lasky's one is also the intel version as their specs are also a bit jumbled! What are you going to do now? Reorder from someone else - play.com also advertise the a300D model you were after @ £679.99.
