    Has anyone replace the SD card slot on an L850?

    Okay, for some stupid reason the SD card sticks out when it's in the slot, and the other day I kicked the charging wire and knocked my laptop off the table. It's all okay (luckily I put an SSD in it) but the SD card has bent and some plastic has snapped off the inside. Now it won't recognise anything

    I opened up my L300 before to clean the heatsink and fan out, will it be similar. What does an SD card slot look like? Is it part of the motherboard, and I guess it would need soldering? :(

    It is indeed soldiered to the mobo. See the photo here

    You are looking at the mobo being upside down and the front of the laptop and SD card slot are at the upper right part of the photo.
