Just as the title says, post in here if you have problems with Vista and your video card performance (gaming specifically). I have a P105-s9337 "gaming" laptop that is hardly capable of gaming in Vista even though it has a GeForce Go 7900gs. The problem is that framerate drops to unplayable levels every 5 or so seconds that makes any game (or Direct3d application) unplayable/unusable. I have noticed this problem only on Toshibas and not with computers with same exact specs from other manufacturers (Dell, Alienware, etc.) I have read in other forums that users with the same video card on a different manufacturer dont have this problem. Similarly on different forums ive read of a couple of toshiba users with this problem. If your one of those users post in here. Maybe this way we can see how common this problem is and see if we can work together to fix this.

I have this exact same problem running a p100-ma6. this is a core 2 duo 7200 2.0 Ghz, 2GB RAM, Nvidia Go 7600 256MB. This is extremely frustrating as I'm also unable to even play videos without them being choppy and the sound losing track with the video. I know someone with the A100-VA5 which is a model with lesser specs and an integrated video card which plays video just fine tho. Is this problem solely based on video card drivers?

The only fix for it in the time being is to install xp and get the drivers off the internet. I honestly don't think Toshiba is ever going to fix this as they are preparing their new p205 line to replace the p105.

Has anyone come up with a solution to the poor video performance of the Toshiba P100-st1072 with Vista? With the Toshiba nVidia driver, you can't even play a DVD!!!

I have found a major improvement actually using the Microsoft driver for nVidia go 7600 (ignore the compatibility warning). This improves DVD playback, don't know about loss of functionality in games, couldn't be very good!

So please let me know, otherwise I'm gonna smash this laptop...thanks!
