hello guys, I am a brand new owner of the Toshiba m100-JR2.
When im using the battery, i can't see how much time remains on my batt like I could on my old centrino laptop. I understand that this can be resolved with the help of the 3rd party application, but I really would like to have a solution of the problem without having to install any ulterior software.

    thanks for the tips!

PS. are all M100 owners experiencing this?

What operation system are you using?
In windows XP, there is a battery indicator in the task bar that displays the remaining time. That indicator can be turned on and off.

Congratulations on purchasing your Toshiba :D Have fun with it. :)

Mine came with the Toshiba Power Saver software installed that displays a battery meter in the task tray all the time, and there's also a Windows XP battery meter that shows up in the tray when it's on battery power.

    Mine is M100-JG2 model.

try to use "Notebook Hardware Control" - after picking up one option (you will see it in the configuration), you will be able to see the remaining time (I think it's being refreshed every 5 minutes or sth like that)
