I bought the Toshiba Satellite A135 S4666 for my wife. It was a refurb from Tigerdirect.com, it worked right for 90 days (enough to pass Tiger's return/exchange policy). Now it won't boot and won't recharge the battery. I bought a new battery and it worked great until the battery was discharged. As I mentioned the laptop won't recharge the battery, the light blinks like its almost going to...but doesn't. Does anyone know what I can do? The battery, the laptop, the ac adapter works fine. Yet the laptop won't boot up or recharge the battery. I'm really at a loss, I have no idea what to do.

Does the laptop work ok with the battery removed and powering on with only the AC adapter plugged in?

If not, could be a bad AC adapter ; as that would explain the laptop not booting and battery not charging.

    Keep us posted

    Thanks for answering,

I've followed the suggestions from every troubleshooting website I can find.
With or without the battery it won't start. The blue light will come on but it won't do anything. The Laptop won't charge the battery, the light blinks. I replaced the battery and charger with Toshiba official replacements...nothing.
I bought this computer for my wife, you can imagine how much slack I'm getting. "You buy yourself good stuff, for me you buy sh#$@. Help...

    Wll

    Doesn't sound good.

Does it still have any warranty coverage left?
Might want to take it to an independent repairer if no warranty.
