Hello. I need some help please.
I have this Toshiba Satellite L650
There is this air vent here which seems to be shut and have no holes in the plastic, is this normal or was it a mistake when they assembled it and i should take it back? I've seen other laptops and they have holes in the plastic there but my thoshiba doesnt. Can you guys post some pictures of your Toshiba laptops so i can compare? Thanks. Here are pictures.

Same here. Haven't really noticed that before, I thought it had holes as well.
I haven't noticed any overheating problems though.
Maybe you should ask this question in the TOSHIBA L-series forums, there may be some Toshiba tech support guys that can shed more light into this. -
I am pretty sure it is supposed to have holes in it as that is where the fan is, you should take it back and get a different one or at least take it to a service centre and have them replace the base.

It wouldn't be the first laptop designed like that. It is probably to allow air to be sucked in and across other components of the laptop and then out through the fan.
