How do i do a complete format with a toshiba A70. I know you can put the toshiba disk in but is there another way to completely reformat and clean everything. i think i may have a virus and want to wipe it clean.

    Thanks

One way is to use a disk at startup, When your disc loads it will guide you through formatting and partitioning. It might be different on your recovery disc and it might do all the formatting itself.
You will need to go into the BIOS and set it to boot from CD/DVD first, or you could press the appropriate button (f12 on mine) to set boot options when the laptop starts

No, reinstalling Windows means that the hard disk must be reformatted.

a windows format (quick format) will NOT get rid of boot sector virus'. You need to get a product like Dereks boot & nuke, which will write 0's and 1's to the drive and wipe it completely. A quick format simply erases the table of contents.
