My sister just purchased a Satellite M305D-S4830 from Best Buy and I erased the OS off the hard drive. It came with 2 recovery discs (I don't know why) and it does not give information in how to reformat. Do you guys have any idea how to do a clean Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit install with the recovery discs?

    To fully recover system-

    1. Place disk #1 (Toshiba Recovery media Satellite M300D series Vista home Premium x64 sp1) into optical drive.

    2. restart (power up) and hold down "C" key (release c key when Toshiba logo appears).

    3. The computer will format hard drive and install factory image. Follow instructions on screen.

Note- Toshiba aplication installer allows you to selectively reinstall individual applications, utilities and drivers (i.e., driver/app backup disk)

The computer does not include a Vista O/S disk- just the recovery disks that will reinstall the factory image Vista Premium x64 and bloatware. You can use any Vista x64 disk and the Premium key to do a clean install of Vista Premium.
