hey, i've had an x205-s9359 for a couple of months now and i love it. i have a few problems with it though.

    1. whenever i close the lid, the computer doesn't go into sleep mode (i set it in the computer options to do that). it used to work, but now it doesn't all of a sudden.

    2. whenever i close the lid, and then open it up again, the speakers mess up. sound only comes out of the right speaker and at very low volume.

anyone else have these problems?? please let me know what i can do. thanks

    1. For the sleep issue, go into your Windows "Power Options" in the control panel and edit the profile that you are using. In the Advanced Options window, go to the power buttons and lid settings and tell the lid switch to make your computer sleep when the lid is closed.

    2. The sound driver has issues with the computer hibernating and sleeping, so if you do either then sound only comes out of the subwoofer. Currently, there seems to not be a fix to this problem.

I am not sure about the not going into sleep problem, but if you plan on using your sound after making the computer sleep, then I suggest that you just shut the laptop down completely, or you will get the evil sound problem.

no the sound problem with only the subwoofer working after coming out of sleep mode can be fixed without having to reboot just go to control panel>sounds>and click the middle tab (recording) and the 4 top speakers will kick in again. do it while some music or sound is playing on the subwoofer so you can tell that the 4 speakers on top starts functioning again, although it's not necessary.
