    Help me! urgent, Bios problem

    I am using laptop toshiba satellite A100 PSAA9H Core duo 1.66Gh, chipset i945PM. after upgrade Bios from version 1.3 to 6.0 from the following website:

    now my laptop cannot regconise DVD drive,even in bios, i cannot do any thing with this drive any more.
    Please help me to solve this problem. how can i roll back to previous bios version or how can i fix it.

    If you can get your old version, or even another version, you can flash that one, and see if that fixes the problem.

    Thanks for reply me soon

    However, It does not work when I try to flash the older version 1.3 and 1.4 by windows based and it notify that: "cfg base address not found" in FlsDll window and then "Failed DLL_detectChipset".

    I try to flash 6.0 again but it does not allow as well and says that it is the same version and i cannot do any thing.

    Can you give me other solutions.

    Stupid suggestion, perhaps, but have you tried re-seating the module? Installing an updated driver?

    I tried to flash the newer one, but it did not solve, when i log on to Bios setting, it did not regconised the CD/DVD drive, just have hard drive. :mad:

    strange. I have never had an issue with 6.0 version 6. Ive updated about 100 A100/A105's with this BIOS and never seen this issue.

    It may not actually be a BIOS issue. As to flashing back to an older version, you need to do it with the DOS based updater. have the bios program create the floppies for it. You can go to your local computer store and purchase a USB floppy drive and some disks to do complete this task. Just return the drive when you are done.

    I have USB drive already. could you pls tell me how to do to set up it and start laptop with usb drive to flash it back?
