Hi all,
I hav a Toshiba Satellite A10 PSA10-00Ksgp laptop & am having some major video/display problems, ok here we go doh lol:
( plz bear with me with explaination on this )
Ok i hav windows 2000 installed on it, & what it dose is asks to install video card drivers ( Intel Extreme Graphics 82852/82855 gm/gme ), once the system has finished installing the drivers, the unit reboots & then gose to just a blank screen, u hear windows sound start up & mouse lights up & rom driver spins up, can open & close it, & if i put a cd in, u can hear it spin up & all lights r on & u can see light flickering to something is loading of the cd.
I hav tried newer drivers older drivers, windows 2000,windows xp & windows vista, to no joy nothing, but here is the strangest thing thought, i know everything is working fine, as what i worked out was:
with windows 2000 sp4, that if i load up in safe mode & uninstall the video drivers & reboot system, windows 2000 loads up perfectly & everything works great, except after 5min's or so, windows then asks to restart due to picking up newer video drivers, & then back to square one.
With windows xp & vista, i get nothing at all, all i see & hear with these Os's, is the sound of the drivers loading but hav a blank screen, so dont know where or how far it is in instaling these Os's, in the end i just reboot the unit & it gose back to windows 2000, & time to go through safe mode again to be able to use the laptop for awhile at least.
I hav searched & searched, & can not find any information on this type of problem any where. If needed i will take some picture's tomorrow & show roughly what i am trying to explain here, but hopefully u will follow what i mean.
I hav also tried the function key for the display as well, when i tried to switch to a externel monitor i get nothing at all, no display.
Any help would be prime.
Thankz 4 ur time.
