I've just gotten my Qosmio X505-Q870 repaired for a fan issue. I tried to use the Bluetooth yesterday but it didn't work. Trying to turn on bluetooth gives an error telling me "Plug in the Bluetooth device and click OK". I couldn't find a physical switch for the bluetooth or anywhere else on the laptop to turn the bluetooth on. I've even looked through the BIOS to see if there's an option which disabled the Bluetooth, but there wasn't. I then proceeded to try to reinstall the driver but after uninstalling the older driver, it tried to install the newer drivers and then the same error message came up. I therefore, could not get the Bluetooth driver to install and Bluetooth isn't working. Can someone help me solve this problem?

Have you tried the flash card utitlity to make sure blue tooth is on?
If you press the "FN" key the flash cards will appear. On my computer they are at the top of the screen. You can click on the "F8" button and make sure the bluetooth is on. Clicking on this toggles it off>on or on>off. You can hold the "FN" key and press the "F8" key and do the same thing. If it is off now and you turn it on it will look for the drivers.
Beyond doing that I would not know.
Help with Bluetooth functionality!
