    Greetings-

I do design and play IT guy for a local company. They've got a Toshiba A135-S4677 Laptop that they have had for a little over a year and it's got Vista on it of course. They hate how slow it is even with 2gb of ram and they hate all the nagginess of vista and one of the programs they use as a customer database doesn't work on it, so the Laptop isn't really pulling its weight in the office.

They really have been wanting XP and I have the time now, so I thought I'd help them out.

I'm very well versed in downgrading from Vista to XP (I've done more than a few machines) but I can't seem to locate very complete info on this machine.

I think I've got the chipset, video, WLAN, and Ethernet without issues.

As I don't have it in front of me (I'm at my full time job) I was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction for the following:

    1. From what I can tell it has a Realtek Sound Card... I should be able to use the latest audio driver from the RealTek website WDM R200.exe, I've never had one of these so I'm asking.

    2. I think I found this this thing has a Synaptics Touchpad on it, anyone know for sure, and know an XP driver that works for it, or can I use the generic one from Synapltics.com?

    3. Modem (not that they'll use it) I have no idea what modem it is.

If you have any other info it'd be helpful.

    Thanks!

2.05 is the latest sound driver as of Oct, 2008. When it's installed then the modem driver prompt will come up.

The modem driver is on toshiba site. It's XP compatible. Install it after, you install the sound driver.

Finally, the touchpad will show up in windows update as a driver, it's optional, u dont have to install it.
