Last night I was on my laptop for a rather long time, but that did not affect it before. I was reading something, and my screen went black. I thought it went into hybernate, but moving the mouse did nothing. I had to turn off the laptop, so I pulled the battery (btw, the wire is plugged in, with the coupler during all this and it usually is anyway) and put it back in. I tried to start it up with the wire, but the notebook won't start up with the wire in. It only starts up when I take the wire out and works on the battery until it is started up and I can insert the wire then. It recognizes the wire and electric flow then too.

Help? What is wrong with the wire/port?

Automatic Hibernation/Standby is not actually controlled by the laptop but rather with the operating system. Normally, it goes 'ON' even your using it. Incase it happened to you, then all you have to do is to make sure that all power sources are removed,(battery and AC adapter). Your laptop might be locked in hibernation/Standby due to other problems running on the background (like Antivirus program or firewall). Hibernation/Standby is maintained by power so after removing the power sources, give it atleast a minute. Put it back again. Then turn it 'ON', and WALLAH!!! your computer will worked back again

What if you reverse it, try to remove the battery. Connect the AC adapter only and turn on that laptop without the battery. Will it work in this way?

    Erm... you sure that's safe?

Also, I have no idea what this means, but my battery light is orange a lot of the time now? It turned blue when I was turning my laptop off...?

Ok, I took out the battery, plugged it into the wall, and I didn't even start it up, the lights didn't go on indicating that there was an electric flow.

If that is the case then check the ff. Your AC adapter could be defective. Or the DC input port on the back of the laptop is loose or might be shorted
