    Hi all Tech Gurus,

    Reason for my post:

I am dealing with my wife's U205-S5002 laptop.

Here's the rundown on what happened and what was on it:

It was running Vista Ultimate on 2 GB ram, waiting on a upgrade to 4 GB.

The laptop actually was working perfectly fine, and then it traveled to India, for the wedding. The adapter on it supports both Voltage outputs, the whole 110 to 220 or whatever the thing is.

But the point is, it worked. We have taken it before too, and it has worked.

What happened then, my sister-in-law brought it back to the US, and it was working, and then when she got home to Ohio, she turned it on, it came to the loading screen and the battery died.

And then on, it doesn't come up. even when connected to the power adapter or battery, it wouldnt start in any way. I would get 3 led lights turn on, the AC Power, the Power and the battery. When I remove the battery, I get only 2. There is no HDD sound, no FAN sound and neither can I open the CD rom.

I tried upgrading the RAM to the 4GB, didnt work, so changed it back to the 2 x 1 GB modules.

Thought that the adapter got fried, so even ordered a new one, but still no luck with the new adapter.

    Any thoughts would help.

Just got married and hasnt been a month yet, so can't afford a new laptop for her, considering that I just bought a new custom U400 in November.

    Thanks a lot.
