I have toshiba model: satellite a45-s120

im trying to avoid getting and external harddrive becuase its not very convient.

i was wondering if i could just buy an internal harddrive from best buy even though its not the right brand?

im not really good with hardwares... so i don't no if just buying a internal harddrive from best buy would fit.

Are you wanting to replace your current hard drive, or add a second hard drive internally?

TO MODS: This should be moved to the Toshiba notebook forum.

Yes. You need a 2.5", 9.5mm hard disk. They come in various densities, from 40 to 160 GB. You need to be aware, that there are two different interfaces used. Those are SATA and IDE. Then there are three different RPM speeds. Those are 4200 RPM, 5400 RPM and 7200 RPM. Generally, the 5400 RPM are the most common, but the 7200 RPM will perform the best.
