Laptop GUPs are rarely, if ever, upgradeable.

I'd buy that one in no time if it would be available here...
Amazing deal actually. Prolly not upgradable though...Or maybe it is, aren't there qosmio's with SLI? So maybe there's a chance to fit something else in it.

Well, it should have the same chassis as the normal x305.

    Therefore, upgradeability wise...

1)Yes, CPU is upgradeable, but you have to disassemble the notebook completely to access the CPU. Any centrino 2 proc(1066 FSB) should fit, though how far the bios goes is a mystery to me.

2)No, GPU is not an upgrade option(Toshiba uses proprietary GPU assemblies). Whether or not you have room/connectors, the GPUs themselves are either not available or far far out of the affordable range(the price on them is often more than buying the toshiba laptop they were taken out of) If you wish to get 9800m GTS in SLI, pick up the x305 model priced at $2000.

3)There should be a second hard drive bay, sans tray.

    4)Ram doesn't require an upgrade.

All in all, the tradeoff between the $1000 and $2000 dollar models is in the GPU(9700m vs 9800m GTSx2)
