Use your recovery disks or OS Disk.

Boot From it, and select ReFormat/Overwrite OS.

It will give you a clean install of your OS.

Check to see if you have any of the Recovery CD's, that should get you back to factory default settings. If not, you may have to contact Toshiba and have them send you a copy. I had to do that with my Qosmio F55. I hope this helps. God Bless :)

Mine never came with them either, and I called up Toshiba Support and asked them how can I go back to reload Windows and go back to factory default, and the tech said use the 3 CD's that came with the laptop. I told them mine did not come with it and it came in a sealed box from BestBuy. They sent me the 3 CD's for FREE in about 3 days. You can always try that. Hope this helps. God Bless :)

borrow a windows install disc from a friend, and use the activation number printed on your machine. You will have to download a few drivers, but you'll have a much better system once you do it. Make sure you download the SP1 update also, and run it ASAP.

If you use the recovery disk you get all the bloatware is reinstalled anyway so its best to use a fresh install disk as noted above.

Jadenyou should have recieved a recovery cd w/your computer.each cd is differant from other toshibas, follow the setup instructions,do auto install or put cde in comp, shut off, then turn on holding the c button and turn on your comp.your's may ask if u want to do a install to out of box install,to do the same with all previous partion erased, you might be able to stop certain bloatware from install by cancelling the unzip file from unzipping(like microsoft office etc)it is up 2 uou,you can alway's do uninstall by add/remove,all cd's are differant, recovery is good,as it freshen your comp to like new, i do it semi often.keep your cd clean, otherwise it affects your reinstall.

some toshibas have a built in recovery program, you can make a cd,i think it will fit on one,the drivers and other crap will be on the 2nd one, think of it is fun,and it won't be that bad,my computer works great ,when i reboot, sometimes too much but it will be like new. :)
