I have the A85, so far so good....this is my first laptop ever.

Is there a way to stop the fan from blowing so much, it didn't do this yesterday....

Used to have a M40-JM3 laptop. Nice, fast machine with a nice screen, top-notch speakers, and great graphics chip that'll play every current-generation game at high settings. However, build quality of the machine was rather poor. Out of the box, the unit I got had noticeable scratches. Static-noise was also an issue. Speaking of static, the unit also "shocked" me numerous times when I stopped using it for a short while (5 min approx) and touched it again without grounding myself. The feeling.. em.. wasn't decent. :p

Sold the lappy after I got it for a month or two.

Lucky to have a flawless M40-JM3 here, it was one of the first of its kind too, got it when it first came out. ACtually its not completely flawless... i used to have the screeching sound too but its gone now, could be the power saving thingy. And yeah the build design is not very good especially if your used to IBM's. But i use mine like a workstation, its very good for the price, one of the best out there. Just beware if you live in hot humid conditions, like 34C or higher in Texas or something, the touchpad will :eek:verheat:

Just a quick question. If you have an M60, then why do you have the picture of an M50 in you signature? :toshiba:

I think that is the M60. The M50 and 60 look very similar.

if you look closely, there is a number pad on the keyboard. only the m60 has a number pad. and yes, the m50 and m60 look very similar but the picture is m60.

I own the sleek Toshiba M35-S359. It's been a great machine, but the CDRW is fickle (i.e., it oft fails to write CDs properly).

M55-S325, not a bad little machine. Wish it had a Nvidia Go graphics card.

I need help! I have a 2112 and one day my wifi couldn't find ip addresses anymore. I have verizon dsl and I have to go through a "back door" in order to access my router. What could be the cause? Don't get me wrong, though. I LOVE my Toshiba!!
