I'd settled on an X205-S9359, however, with the 8800M supposedly even closer than expected, seems like a good time to wait. The S9359 is an excellent value with all of the hardware packed in it. Now, I'm wondering how long it will take Toshiba to put out a new X205 with the 8800M once the 8800M is released.

Has anyone followed Toshiba and their product development cycles long enough to have a ballpark idea of how long of a delay they typically have between video card release and new Toshibas on the shelves with them?

Dont count on it. Toshiba generally jumps on the bandwagon but then looses steam. For their P105 gaming laptops they were one of the first along with Dell/Alienware to introduce the go 7900 gs to laptops early 2006. late 2006 they introduced go 7900 gtx's alongside the gs and that's about it.
