    Hello

I just open the memory cover on the back of my M115, I saw 1 slot memory in use, it is 512MB RAM. I like to add another 512 to it but don't know how to. I don't see the extra slot for me to add. Does anyone know where the extra slot? or I have to buy 1G RAM to replay the 512MB. Thanks

    Yoyo..

hi yoyo. i myself wanted to buy M115-S3094. i've seen from other reviews that you can add another RAM. i just don't know where. and they say it has a poor battery life. is it fast when loading and shutting down?

There are two slots in that location at the bottom. They are at an angle and maybe hard to see. If you take out the current 512 by slightly pulling out the metal clips....very slightly the current memory module will pop up (with the laptop turned over). This will help you understand how they sit in there.

Any 256, 512 or 1gig or 2gig DDR2-4200 or DDR2-5300 can go into the slot. Matching them is best for dual channel memory speed but not needed.

These prices are high but it gives you all the options.

Go the www.newegg.com. I added 2gigs of Crucial from newegg.

The battery life is "OK" but its a 6-cell battery....which keeps the weight and price down. I got my M115 at Best Buy in Sept...for $599 US out the door...no rebates. I added another 2gigs for $212....so I am at $711 for this little rocket.

You can get an optional 9 or 12 Cell battery. I am going to get the 12 cell next....note the 12 cell sticks out a little past the back....but it supposedly gives you 5 + hours of life compared to the 2+ I get now (with out wireless on) with the 6-Cell.
