    Hi Everyone,

I am working on a Satellite L35 and I have run into a problem. The BIOS is in Chinese or something like that. Does anyone know how to change this?

I have tried updating the BIOS, shorting the JP 1 jumper under the wireless NIC it did not help. I was hoping it might default back to English but it did not?

If anyone can help me out with this issue, it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much and have a great day.

Maybe you can flash the BIOS with an English one? Never had this problem myself. Every computer I used had an English BIOS regardless of the language of the OS.

BIOS code is programmed into EEPROM chips that are almost positively too small to support multiple language display. You need to flash it with an English BIOS for the same computer, or find someone who can translate for you.

I got it. I shorted the jumper again and it defaulted to English. I am flashing it again, just in case. Thanks for the help guys. Have a great day!
