How am I suppose to disable the touch pad on my x305? I did it once before but now I right click the pad icon and can't find a disable option anymore. I don't know if it had anything to do with it , but I installed the disk that came with the logitech gaming mouse and maybe that's why I don't have an option to disable the touchpad so I uninstalled and I still can't find a disable option. Please help me disable the touch pad. Thanks

I know there is an option in the Synaptics control panel. I don't shut mine down, but I set the sensitivity really low, as I use a USB mouse most of the time. Try going to the mouse setup in the control panel.

Are you looking to shut it off permanently or just once in a while, while using a mouse? I ask because some BIOS' have an option to disable it. That would only be convenient if looking to disable it for the long haul though.

Try going into the Mouse Properties (in the Windows Control Panel) & the Synaptic touchpad settings while the mouse is not connected.

Also check out your Fn keys. I think one of them may have a quick 'touchpad on/off' feature. (Fn+F9 I believe.)
