I have a Satellite 3000-3002 with P-III 800Mhz, 384MB SDRAM and 60GB HDD, bought on late 2001. (The HDD is a later upgrade.) It has been running nicely over the years, but in someways it's unusable now since:
- Battery is dead;
- Keyboard is dead (currently using external keyboard);
- Computer is running slowly-- mainly because of RAM constrints.
So I plan to buy another laptop. However, this satellite 3000 seemed too good to throw away-- but too bad to sell.
So, any ideas on how to do with it?

reformat it and sell it, it should alleviate the slowness
just say the keybord and battery isnt working in big bold lettersLast edited by a moderator: May 8, 2015 -
What's more, I've found, is the LCD panel has a bunch of dead pixels due to Accupoint attack...

sell as working but bad condition

1. Replace the battery
2. I would try buying a replacement through Toshiba's Spare Parts department if you really wanted another one
3. Look for spyware/unwanted background programs and eliminate them to maximize performance. -
