    How to get Toshiba Webcam to Run Continuously even when laptop is locked?

    Hi guys, I am using a Toshiba P745-S4217 and I suspect that one of my co-workers may be tampering with my laptop. I wanted to leave the web cam on continuous record but I find that as soon as I lock the laptop the web cam application closes.

    The settings in the Toshiba web cam application do not have any settings to solve this.

    If anyone can assist in telling me how I can get the webcam to run continuously I would be grateful.

    I did some searches and it sounds as if you may have to buy additional software to allow your laptop to record with the webcam while it is locked.
    I also read a post that suggested changing to screen saver to a black screen; perhaps it will make it look like it is off [but does the webcam function with a screensaver on?].

    Although, make sure what you are doing is ok in your workplace. Sorry, wish I could be of more help.

    Thanks for your reply alwxUW I am having one of those DUH moments right now. I do have a little program that can turn off the screen of the laptop. When I turn on the webcam on record function then run this program it can run at length.

    Perfect for what I need so I will begin recording tomorrow.
