I am facing problems in installing Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 and any other Linux operating system on my Toshiba Satellite M200 notebook which was shipped with Windows Vista Home Basic.

All version on Windows Vista can be installed on it ie Vista Ultimate or Windows Server 2008 beta ie the versions having Vista Engine.

When i install XP it cant find out my Harddiskdrive and same is the case with Windows Server 2003 and other Microsoft Operating Systems.

I m having an invisible ESIA partition on my hdd having a size of 1.46GB. I think the problem could be because of this partition.

    Specification of my laptop are:-
    Toshiba Satellite M200
Processor: Intel core 2 duo T7100
    RAM:-2GB....

Please Please anybody help my life is pathetic here.I m unable to do anything.

    Thanks in advance

I don;t know much about slipstreaming. All I know is that you have to slip stream your xp disc because your xp disk does not have the SATA drivers for your HDD which is a SATA

that slipstreaming process worked great for me, I was able to slipstream a copy of XP Pro with SP3 (bootleg) and the SATA drivers. XP installed great, but I couldn't get my network cards to work. I didn't have another computer here to try and find them, so I had to restore back to Vista again.

I ended up with about 8 hardware items not running, although the network cards were the only ones that really were a problem.

The slipstreaming process is quite easy, but you have to find the SATA drivers, and download the nlite program, as well as having an XP setup disc.
