Hi all. I am unable to monitor the CPU temp and voltage of a Toshiba M45.
I downloaded Speedfan, MobileM, and NHC and none of them indicated the
voltage or the temperature and the HDD temp seems to be the SAME!?
The HDD doesn't seem to change as it is always at 31 or 32!? How wack is that?![]()
What am I doing wrong here?
Thanks in advance,
Joe

You can try downloading Everest or the Intel thermal analysis tool. See if that helps.

Any and all help would be appreciated!
Thanks,

Darn it! No luck with the Intel Thermal Analysis Tool. The tool basically said that the computer has "Invalid Processor". Translation: We don't analyze "Sell-It-Wrong" M. :[
Here is a partial output from EVEREST HOME EDITION:

It said thermal monitor 1 is supported but I don't see any temperature reading. Can anyone interpret this more? I am kind of loss now in finding out the CPU thermal reading. At least I got the voltage reading of the CPU and it seems a bit low (spec for 1.8V for getting <1.4V?!!?) -
It shuts down to overheating according to the owner. The notebook got regular Win XP installed. Will WinXP Pro show the CPU temperature?
-
can ANYONE help me interpreting the Everest results and tell me WHY I can't see my CPU temp nor voltage from NHC, MM, and Intel Thermal Analysis Tool?
BTW, is this the wrong post in this particular forum?? -
FYI, I used hmonitor and it measures the CPU temp but not the voltage. LOL.
The trial version of hmonitor doesn't allow more than continuous 10 min of usage.
I have also used OLDER version of NHC and found the CPU voltage but not the temperature and the strange part is that there is only ONE FID setting at 15x?! Not sure if this is the norm for the older celeron M processor. But didn't want to set the voltage due to the singular FID setting. Just kind of suspicious and this ain't my laptop. -
try speedfan

Maybe because it is a Celeron?

The Core Voltage is automatically adjusted to maximize power saving as well as to control the CPU temp. Voltage will increase depending on the amount of load the the CPU needs to work on. Higher voltage produces more heat.
How to monitor the CPU temp?
