    Hello there,
I have some problems with my notebook, actually I tried to upgrade BIOS for my notebook but it failed in upgrade then now my computer is dumped.
There is nothing in screen when I restart my notebook.
I think the problem here is with BIOS, how can I reset to the old version of BIOS?
I tried to disassemble the notebook but I don't know where is the batterry for the BIOS?
    I really appreciate your time.

did you say nothing on the screen?
AS in COMPLETELY BLACK after powering up?

    if so
i had the same problem, i tried to flash my ST9012 with a newer version and my laptop restarted and the screen doesnt show a thing.

i brought my laptop to an autorized service provider (ASP) and it messed up the whole mother board, they replaced my my whole motherboard to get it working

before doing anything else REMOVE THE CD or whatever auto flashing device you use to flash... i forgot to remove my auto bios flash cd and it reflashed the bios again and they had to replace the motherboard 3 times. thank god im still under warranty. it wouldve dented my pocket really bad

ye, thats what the tech told me, "bios reseting wont really fix the getting a black screen after reflashing"

if its over the warranty.. oh man tought luck, first ask them how much it cost, cuz i know you gotta pay for hourly labour+parts+minimum charge. but try the ressetting first.. who knows, it might work

If you contact Toshiba, they will be able to give you the BIOS password you're looking for.
