hello, I found the harddrive (4200rpm.) for M30 is kind of slow and would like update it with a 7200rpm one.
however, I did not know how to install this new harddrive into the Toshiba M30. While, it is not as easy as make any memory update.
Anybody could give some suggestion or give me a link about how to do it? Thanks a lot in advance.

Replacing the HDD is pretty easy on the M30's. Just flip the unit upside down with the front of the unit facing you. The HDD slot should be located on the bottom left corner of the unit. 2 screws to remove the panel and viola! Just make sure you swap all the HDD mounting hardware form the old unit onto the new one. Also, be careful not to break anything. [

thanks. I did learn something on here. I did not realize the HD of M30 was that easy to get out. I thought it was somewhere hidding inside the laptop -
Almost all notebooks these days that have removable parts are easily accessible like the HDD, memory modules, Wireless cards, etc.... They're designed this way so that if they do die, it'll be easy for the techs to get access to the part w/o taking the entire unit apart. Sometimes they're hiden under the keyboard, but most items are accessible from the bottom.
