Recently I purchased a Toshiba Satellite U205-S5034 laptop. It has many more complex settings than I'm used to from an older laptop, and I'm guessing that my problem can be solved by changing the settings.

The problem is this. When I use the keyboard, especially to type e-mail messages in Outlook Express, the cursor frequently jumps erratically to some earlier point in the message or--what is more irritating--the message sends itself after only a few words. I don't know what I'm touching to get this effect, which occurs even when I try to be extra careful.

As I say, I presume that there is a sensitivity setting that will correct this problem, but I don't know how to access it. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

Go to mouse properties>advanced tab>advance feature settings>pointer speed and tapping settings>touch sensitivity and adjust. See if that helps any.
