When I play FEAR on the X205 it acts funny and the internal performance test acts weird as well. I don't trust it's numbers.

I get 7 min, 8 avg. and 8 max.

Now I don't trust these numbers 'cause that would mean that the game wouldn't move as fast as it does. Now it's not as smooth as the Nile or my XPS but it still moves through the video at a much faster rate then 7 FPS! When I reboot the game, I get a more realistic number at 180 max FPS. Run the test again and I'm back at the 8 max result but the test ran just as smooth as it did with the 180 FPS. The game play is a little shaky and not to my liking. I played with the settings and I get the same thing everytime with the performance test. I downloaded and installed FRAPS and FRAPS reports the same thing as the performance test. I wonder if Vista is causing this.

I don't expect the X205 to play FEAR as good as the XPS but it should be close to it! I have started to remove the Bloatware. Also, in Task Manager, it shows a Vista program hogging up memory like it's nobody's business. It's the desktop manager. I don't think I can get rid of that. I think Vista will crap it's shorts if I do.

Has anyone else had problems with FEAR on the X205? What are your settings?
