As the title states, I'll be snagging an X875 on my way back over to Toshiba's line. This Alienware can burn in hell where it belongs. $900 netted me about five months of use before it died, if that. Last time I ever buy something used EVER.
As far as I can see, the GTX 670M will do what I need it to do and performs right on par with the 6970M, plus it can be overvolted too which allows for better overclocks, but that'll come in due time.
I shouldn't have bought this thing, It's been nothing but a pain in the since I bought it and I've put up with it because it did EVERYTHING I wanted a laptop to do! Simple satisfaction tends to blot out the things that are more important.
So I'll be one of the first here to own the Qosmio X875. Ironic eh? I left to try one of the fabled Alienwares and it dies on me buuut... I think I'll stick to my gut instincts and stay with the brand I trust this time.

Just went over to Toshiba Direct, you can grab a x870 [minimally configured] for $1000 [$400 discount]. Still comes with a i7 quad and a GTX 670m.
Says offer goes through the end of Monday: Toshiba Qosmio X870-BT2G23 Laptop
Glad to see your back! Let us know when you get your x875 and what you think of it -
Just gotta find out if I CAN come back now. >.< This is irritating. If the machine works, but only half the time, can I justify selling it for a legit price?
I'm waiting for pell money to come in before I buy and I've gotta find a serious price that I'd be willing to sell this machine for. >.o -
What is wrong with the alienware laptop? Which model is it? I've had no issues with mine.
Used to own a Qosmio x500 and loved it.

It's the M17x R2. I've got a 7970M in mine and it's...well... it's amazing when it works, but crashing during games every so often tends to take its toll on the OS. I've had to reinstall the OS about four times now... >_>

The 7970 is a rather odd ball of a graphics card, I have 2 in my m18x and when they run well the performance is amazing but still no decent drivers is an issue. I haven't had any issues with them in regards to the OS but do get the occasional system crash.
Goodluck with your 7970!
