I hate Toshiba's Verification

I just ordered Toshiba's laptop online with my debit card on Sept. 21th. But then they told me that my HSBC account would not let Toshiba do the verification. Then I contact HSBC, HSBC said they can do the verifiacation via a conference call including me online, while this time Toshiba said it is against thier policy to do that.

The worse part is that they always told me that they have already handed my situation to TOSHIBA's credit manager and they will solve my problem and finish the verification the next day morning. However, every time I called the next morning,nothing changed. I really do not have any more patience for verification. but i really want this laptop.

Just curious about is there anyone purchase a toshiba's laptop online with also a credit card or debit card in HSBC?? How u guys do the verification when Toshiba and HSBC don't do so. BTW, I lives in rohester, NY.

 

I used a credit card from HSBC and works fine. Debits always have a problem, a lot of the time because the charge has to be done in incrediments such as $500 each day.

why bother buying from toshiba directly? Check out costco.com and see if the model you want is there. All costco warehouse & online purchases have a 3 month money back guarantee in the U.S.

Back in August I purchased a Toshiba Satellite U305 with ease from costco.com and it was delivered in 2 days from the order date. Oh, you also *don't* have to be a costco member to purchase from costco.com (though a 5% fee 'will' be applied if you're not).

heh, also try J&R, thats where i ordered my u305, They ship to Canada and US.
They seem to have fair prices and i paid 37$ for overnight shipping, which was amazing. I ordered Wednesday night, they received it in US on Thursday 3 PM.

I ordered and 1 day passed still verification status... So I simply picked up the phone and called them.

Turns out they needed more verification on my identity and boom order placed. lol not sure what they needed but it was no biggie.

2 weeks ... wow you have some patience.
