I've found a few threads but not much information on them. I selected it because of Toshiba's performance in building reliable machines, and its price compared to the competition even though the competition is rated higher based on looks. This is purchased as a gift but I've been wanting one myself so I put it on my Christmas wish list to Santa too.

I was originally going to buy a black one from BestBuy but they raised their prices yesterday so I ordered a white one from Newegg instead, for about the same price overall.

BestBuy had their own version that Toshiba was making for them, and they priced it less than online retailers were able to sell the generic versions for, at least before they raised the prices yesterday. The BestBuy version comes with the dual core SU4100, the generic versions are available with the SU4100 or with a single core processor.

Excellent news! The T135 is sorta the larger version of the netbook replacement I have ... I am enjoying my "mini version" very much thus far, and have even written up a semi review of it if you are curious about it. :D I am sure it is somewhere in here still....

    Edit: Here it is! http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=437206

The general build of the two machines are very similar imo (from what I have seen thus far at least) ... I would be interested if your feedback on the T135 is similar to my own in the review....

Newegg was very reliable in getting the white one to us last week. We wrapped it and put it under the tree for my daughter. As for mine, I'll have to wait until Dec. 25th to see if I'm really getting one. :)

Once we get to unwrap it (them) then I can post more information.

Our family opened presents yesterday- both of our new T135's included. My daughter got the white one that I ordered from Newegg, I got a black one from BestBuy. As far as I can tell they are identical except for color.

There was a lot of flex in the white keyboard, almost none in the black one. We're going to try to send the white one back for exchange or repair. Otherwise they both work great. I bought an external USB DVD drive and installed a few things today. Also spent time deleting Norton and a few other things, and updating Windows. There is still a LOT of Toshiba stuff on the hard drive. I'll have to study it more to determine what to delete and what I might want to keep. It seemed to run 5 or 6 hours on the original battery charge and still have about 25% left.

Can you give us some additional feedback as you use your T135 some more? Looking for pros and cons from a "user" point of view. I am also looking at this model (T135-S1310) as well as their 14" M500 models, and I'm especially interested in knowing if the T135 with dual core can smoothly play HD videos from Hula and YouTube. Can you possibly check some out and let us know your thoughts?

Interesting that thee should have been such a difference in keyboard flex between the two. The black model I tried at best buy a few days ago had a moderate amount of flex, a little more than my own T115 ... I had not heard that the 13" model comes in white as well.

BTW - if you are comfortable using it there is a pretty good free app out there called "pc decrappifier" that I have found helpful forgetting rid of bloatware....

The T135 comes in black, white and red. BestBuy seems to have commisssioned their own model that other retailers don't sell, black only. Newegg.com has all of the other versions and all of the colors.

I think there is clearly something wrong with the keyboard of our white machine. I'm going to try to send it back to newegg for an exchange. I have no experience in doing that and if for some reason I can't exchange it then I will send it back to Toshiba for warranty repair.
