But this stuff is getting old. I got the computer about a year ago, and it has been running beautifully. I have never really had a problem with it. The biggest problem I had was that it came with Windows Vista Home Basic, and only 512 mb of memory. I upgraded it to another stick and was fine. Recently I upgraded to two 1 gb sticks of memory. After memtesting them, one of the sticks had to be sent back. The other one worked just fine, and that is what I am now using. However, I have been having an issue with my sleep/hibernate settings since the stick has been put in. Normally when I shut my laptop and then open it and fiddle with the mouse, the password screen pops right back up. Lately, if i attempt that, it hangs, and the screen remains dark. So I turn it off and turn it on, and it is like windows is resuming. It takes me back right to where I was with everything open as I left it. No settings where changed with the install of the new memory. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thank you in advance

check your sys. info. Does it indicate 1GB or 2? might be a problem of not registering the correct RAM size.

Is that possible?
I normally love my Toshiba...
