I suspect that new X305-Q706 would sure as hell give the M17 the run for its money ... what do you think ???

Possibly both the 9800 GTS would be a better performer then the crossfired 3870 ...

    What do you think ???

I think they they would be close but the Toshiba would pull away little by little. The M17 looks much better though...

    they are comparable... yes.

but the Arima W840 DI (call it by its real name, not be the re-brand name).... has full mobile quad-core CPU support.

And it is available through many vendors that give it much better service/support if you find a good one.

IMO, custom notebooks like the Arima is good because you do not get bloatware foisted upon you when you get the system.

    ????????
Anyways given the Toshiba's hideous look and color scheme I would go for the Arima, and at over $4000 very expensive!
Performance wise they would be very close, but optimized drivers have not been released from ATI yet, but just looking at the Toshiba hurts my eyes.
A other color scheme or even just a single solid color would make this laptop a winner in my book but that's just my own humble opinion.
I just can't believe Toshiba dropped the ball so badly when they decided to go with this color and graphic scheme!Ptooey!
    But hey that's just me.

It was the colour and design that attracted me to it in the store to begin with.
I especially like the lid and the red border design.

Each to their own opinion though.
