Hey guys, i want to upgrade the processor in my toshiba l655-s5097 from a pentium P6100 to either the i3 or i5. I was trying to do some research on whether this is possible but i can't seem to find any information at all about my laptop... Here are my questions:
    1) will my laptop be able to handle either of these processors?
    2) is the processor replaceable in the L655 or is it soldered to the board?
    3) i read online to make sure to update the bios on my laptop. will the bios i need be found on the toshiba website?
Thanks in advance. I really need to get out of this pentium :(

Socket will fit with any I-3,5,7 first Gen.
Doubt that it is soldered. Look at youtube if anyone disassembled it.

I doubt the P6100 socket is compatable with the newer i 3/5/7 cpus. I have an older P core laptop and it works just fine. Maybe you need more ram and a better O/S like Win 7?
